Description
A watercolor painting of a 1-1/2 story Victorian Eclectic cottage.
This home is located in the historic Avenues district of Salt Lake City, Utah. Built in 1892 by carpenter Henry A. Ferguson. On the first floor, the corners of the bay are cut away to form a bay window. The whole bay is covered with a variety of patterned wood-shingle siding. A carved sunburst adorns the front gable. The tulips and daffodils are just beginning to bloom and the aspen trees to leaf. In 1899 the property was bought by Albert H. Walsh who owned the A.H. Walsh Plumbing Company, and it remained in the Walsh family for the next seventy years.
