Description
A watercolor painting of vintage, late Victorian design home, featuring a flowerbed full of beautiful spring tulips. Built in 1906 in the Victorian Eclectic style, featuring gables with window cornices with classical type returns. The east front gable has a brick, arched attic window and the west front gable has wood shingle siding. This home was built by Daniel Eyer, a mining professional. It was bought by John J. McClellan, an internationally known musician and organist. He was a member of the music faculty at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. In 1906 he was named organist for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and held the position until his death in 1926. Mr. McClellan composed many well known LDS hymns.
