With its complex massing and ornate detailing, this 1-1/2 story house is an excellent example of the Queen Anne Style. Featured is a tower with carving and dentil molding in the tower cornice and a variety of porches.
Salesman Matt Barlow Jr. hired mason Charles J. Brain to build the house in 1885. Alonzo Irvine, an attorney, who was also a Utah State senator in the 1920’s, bought the home in 1905. Located in historic Avenues district in Salt Lake City, Utah.
